As a Senior Consultant with Draper & Associates Construction Services Division, Mr. Krepps brings a wealth of construction management experience including project management, utility coordination, client interface and contract administration on a variety of construction engineering assignments.

EXPERIENCE

Mr. Krepps has more than 40 years of experience serving as a utility coordinator, project manager and engineer on a wide variety of projects throughout the state of Florida. He has coordinated TBE Crews in accurately identifying and locating underground utilities, and has developed excellent working relationships with utility companies.

Currently, Mr. Krepps is serving as a Utility Coordinator for Turnpike Construction projects at the Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE). Within this position, Mr. Krepps is responsible for the coordination of utility relocation and construction sequencing. In addition, Mr. Krepps works closely with the utility companies to insure that utility work scheduled prior to the start of construction is completed as scheduled and does not conflict with road construction. Key project tasks include:

  • Reviewing plans for utility conflicts to be sure these areas are addressed in the utility work schedules
  • Maintaining rapport with the utility companies to ensure proper permits have been applied for and materials, etc., have been ordered
  • Attending utility pre-construction conferences
  • Coordinating utility relocation work with the construction project managers
  • Reviewing permit applications when necessary
  • Reviewing utility work schedules to verify utility companies relocation work does not affect other utility companies work
  • Preparing and disseminating the complete Permits, relocation schedules and Utility Relocation 'deliverables package' to the selected CEI Firm prior to the Pre-Construction Meeting.
  • Support for CEI firms for unforeseen condition and/or conflict resolution when requested.

Prior to joining Draper & Associates, Mr. Krepps spent more than 20 years with Florida Power and Light as an Underground Distribution Engineer, New Business Supervisor and Relocation Coordinator on many roadway projects. Mr. Krepps also has a great deal of experience with FDOT processes and procedure, having served as the utility coordinator on a FDOT General Engineering Contract (GEC).

Mr. Krepps' relevant project experience includes the following projects in Jacksonville, FL:

SR15/Riverside Avenue from Forest Street to the Acosta Bridge, FDOT, FL - Utility coordinator for the addition of lanes and roadway construction. Also served as part of the value engineering team.

SR200, FDOT, FL - Utility Coordinator for new road construction and new bridge over CSX Railroad.

SR115/Southside Boulevard from I-95 ramps to J.T. Butler Boulevard, FDOT, FL - Utility Coordinator for the addition of lanes and roadway construction.

US 1/20 th Street Expressway from East of I-95 to North of Jesse Street, FDOT, FL - Utility Coordinator for the widening of nine bridges.

Fuller Warren Bridge/1-95 over St. Johns River, FDOT District 2, Duval County, FL - Responsible for utility coordination.

I-95/I-10 Interchange, FDOT District 2, Jacksonville, FL - Responsible for utility coordination.

SR 21/Blanding Boulevard, FDOT District 2, Duval County, FL - Utility Coordinator for the six-lane widening project.

I-95, FDOT District 2, Duval County, FL - Utility Coordinator for this six-lane and bridge widening project.
