A project located at Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport involving the management oversight in the installation of a computerized parking control system. The project is unique in that there are numerous buried data transmission cables to be installed over a project site, which is an active airport, without discontinuing operations. Because these cables are optic in nature, rigid quality assurance measures are necessary to assure a good installation. This project is further complicated by the fact that much of the hardware is being manufactured in France simultaneous with on-going construction. After manufacture, the project calls for extensive factory testing including the requirement that a full-scale mockup of the computerized control system be tested prior to installation.
