As the concluding and final jewel of the $600 million Diplomat Development, the Diplomat Hotel and Convention Center sits on prime oceanfront property in Hollywood , FL , reaching to the sky in a design described as "nautical". The 39-story twin tower luxury facility features 1000 rooms including 100 one- and two-bedroom suites.

Draper & Associates provided scheduling and control services for this fast-track project which opened in 2001.

The Diplomat Hotel project is part of the famous Diplomat Development, which is centered around the Diplomat Country Club. This development reflects luxury combined with convenience. The Diplomat Development includes the new hotel and convention center, Country Club and spa, 135 luxury oceanfront condominiums, yacht slips, retail shops, and associated parking. This development is celebrated for its ability to accommodate business or social functions, family or individual recreation and relaxation, the development has already seen the opening of the Country Club and Spa and awaits the opening of it's premier hotel.

Draper & Associates provided both construction schedule development and construction monitoring services during all phases of the project. Draper & Associates conducted bi-weekly update meetings during the construction phase, reviewing progress with the Owner, General Contractor, and all active Subcontractors. Near Term Schedules, detailed day-to-day implementation schedules derived from the Overall Project Schedule, served as the focal point of discussion during the update meetings.

Other supporting tools included the Action Item Agenda, which tracked key decisions and actions; the Trend Analysis Chart, which projected the impact of current progress on overall project completion; and the Material Status Log, which identified the status of key materials.
