Batson-Cook hired DRAPER & ASSOCIATES to provide scheduling and project controls for this church expansion project.

Draper & Associates provided both construction schedule development and construction monitoring services during all phases of the project. Draper & Associates conducted bi-weekly update meetings during the construction phase, reviewing progress with the Owner, General Contractor, and all active Subcontractors. Near Term Schedules, detailed day-to-day implementation schedules derived from the Overall Project Schedule, served as the focal point of discussion during the update meetings.

The project was an addition to the church's existing campus. This addition houses the church's preschool program in approximately 20 classrooms on the First Floor. Also on the 1 st Floor is a Youth Gathering Area, which has one large meeting room, several smaller meeting rooms and a kitchenette/ break area. On the Second Floor, a new Fellowship Hall with a 16-foot high ceiling, accented by wood trim and stage, is the highlight. Adjacent to the Fellowship Hall is a full-service kitchen and serving area. The final area of the building is the Gymnasium. In addition to the basketball floor and goals, there is a running track on the 2 nd Floor and also a large aerobics room.

The structure is steel and slab on metal deck. The exterior of the building is brick and precast accented by wood trim. It is approximately 100,000 square feet.

Draper's involvement was instrumental in helping the Project Team complete this project on schedule and within budget.
