
The General Contractor engaged the services of Draper & Associates to provide comprehensive scheduling and project controls for this $30 million complex project located in downtown Atlanta. Draper & Associates' scope of services was to develop an Overall Project Schedule in conjunction with Contractor and Subcontractors and detailed Near Term Schedules on a biweekly basis to monitor construction activities as required. Biweekly Project Coordination Meetings were conducted throughout the project to evaluate construction progress relative to the Overall Project Schedule and to develop and update the Material Status Log in order to track the submittal, approval, ordering and ultimate delivery of all project materials and equipment.
Demonstrating outstanding pre-construction abilities, the General Contractor provided useful modifications that reduced construction time and cost for this 29-story office-building project. Tenant move-in was accomplished in only 17 months after site work began.
The scope of work included normal concrete work, stone veneered architectural pre-cast concrete, insulated protected membrane and standing-seam metal roofing, interior finishes at the core and common areas, and plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. The project also included a seven-level parking garage to accommodate 700 vehicles.
As part of the public improvements associated with this project, the contract included the widening of Tenth Street and the extension of Peachtree Place to Peachtree Street through Juniper Street. |
