This multi-purpose convention center expansion project comprised the addition of 115,000 square feet. The project included an additional exhibition hall, a junior ballroom, 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a supporting pre-function area, a banquet kitchen, and a private executive lounge. High-quality finishes consisted of fabric-wrapped acoustical panels, glass overlook walls, tube steel, terrazzo floor patterns, and wood chair rails. The expansion was tied in to the existing building, which included removing all major utilities and tying in new ones before the addition could be built.

The General Contractor engaged the services of Draper & Associates to provide scheduling and project controls for this $14 million convention center expansion project located in Macon, GA. Draper & Associates' scope of services was to develop an Overall Project Schedule in conjunction with Contractor and Subcontractors and detailed Near-Term Schedules on a biweekly basis to monitor construction activities, as required. Biweekly Project Coordination Meetings were conducted throughout the project to evaluate construction progress relative to the Overall Project Schedule and to develop and update the Material Status Log in order to track the submittal, approval, ordering and ultimate delivery of all project materials and equipment.
