 Draper & Associates was hired by the General Contractor on this project to provide all construction-related services to implement a systematic process that would establish and manage the project's schedule and monitor all areas of the project's development and act as the liaison between all parties.
The construction of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel has created a luxurious and spacious city resort featuring unobstructed views of Biscayne Bay and Miami downtown skyline in one of Miami 's most prestigious locations. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel has 329 guest rooms and suites with balconies overlooking the bay and three signature restaurants. The project included the construction of a 15,000 square foot state of the art spa with 17 treatment rooms that each use textures such as bamboo, rice paper, glass and natural linens to achieve a harmonious balance. It also includes a fully equipped fitness center, outdoor infinity-edge swimming pool, and separate male and female sauna and steam rooms.
The meeting and conference areas were design to host a large range of events from small business sessions to large banquets with the latest technology available.
Draper & Associates responsibilities in this project included the following:
- Developed the Overall Project Schedules with detailed design and construction activities
- Conducted project meetings and maintained all project records
- Facilitated project communications between the Owner, General Contractor, hotel operator and other specialty consultants
- Submitted project reports and updated schedules
- Facilitated onsite job coordination meetings with General Contractors and all sub-contractors
- Conducted project site evaluations to track the progress of the project
