Business Development Coordinator
Carla Rivers is a Project Consultant at Draper & Associates (Draper). She has more than 15 years of experience in program management, project management, communications and business development, business process review and engineering, operations management, procurement, and customer relations.
She is a results-oriented professional with extensive experience in operations management. She brings a proven ability to identify strategic opportunities, manage change, improve operational efficiency and effectively lead diverse groups.
For more than 13 years Ms. Rivers has overseen Draper’s business development and communication outreach initiatives. In this capacity, she provides strategic development and execution of marketing, public relations and communication initiatives, in addition to overseeing the firm’s business development and outreach objectives. In this capacity, she provides leadership as Draper identifies and pursues consulting opportunities, and develops strategic alliances and partnership opportunities to leverage Draper’s substantial corporate talents for new clients.
In addition to her role within business development, Ms. Rivers has provided program and project management and technical consulting services to a variety of Draper’s public and private sector clients. Her most recent assignments have ranged from developing and managing a corporate marketing campaign focused on promoting energy awareness and reduction of energy usage within affordable housing residential communities, to the coordination, oversight, and successful delivery of community elections at 15 affordable housing communities. Within each of these projects, Ms. Rivers has managed project teams that analyzed service delivery channels, identified opportunities for improvement, developed recommendations, implemented solutions that streamlined business processes, improved communications and customer service, through the use of customer satisfaction surveys, enforced accountability and provided meaningful metrics to evaluate success.
Ms. Rivers has also played a valuable role in the data collection, analysis and the formulation of strategies and critical recommendations on many of Draper’s higher education engagements.
