Porsche Design Tower
At 60 stories high, the cylindrical Porsche Design Tower is one of the tallest buildings in the Sunny Isles Beach, Florida skyline. Designed by Porsche Design Studio and US Based Dezer Development, and constructed by Coastal Construction, the $560 million condominium high-rise features 132 luxury units with floor-to-ceiling windows and provides a spectacular ocean view.
The most unique feature of the tower is its patented, revolutionary three car elevator system, known as the “Dezervator”, which whisks both residents and their vehicles up to their luxurious living quarters, where cars double as apartment keys. Each unit has two to eleven built-in “sky garages”, separated from the living area only by a large glass wall.
Groundbreaking of this innovative building began in April 2014 and was completed in January 2017. Draper provided both construction schedule development and construction monitoring services to Coastal Construction during all phases of the project. In addition, Draper conducted bi-weekly update meetings during the construction phase, reviewing progress with the Owner, General Contractor, and all active Subcontractors. Near Term Schedules, detailed day-to-day implementation schedules derived from the Overall Project Schedule, served as the focal point of discussion during the update meetings.
