Description:

The Atrium Health Pineville Cath Lab #4 project in Charlotte, North Carolina, involved the construction of a new 2,118-square-foot catheterization laboratory on the first floor of the AHP Palmetto Bed Tower. The scope required the demolition of existing operating room and staff lounge spaces, relocation of equipment storage, and significant modifications to existing systems to accommodate the new procedure room.

One of the primary challenges was working within an active healthcare environment, where minimizing disruption to ongoing hospital operations was critical. The project team faced logistical complexities, including coordinating demolition and construction activities in close proximity to sensitive clinical areas, and managing the relocation of essential equipment and staff functions.
