To address growing patient volume, Pelham Medical Center recently completed a $33.5 million renovation and expansion of its emergency and surgical areas at its facility in Greer, SC. The 55,000-square-foot, multi-floor expansion doubled the emergency room department’s number of beds and added approximately 10 patient observation beds. In addition, the emergency room now includes 27 exam rooms, six “fast-track” or rapid treatment rooms, one trauma room and one seclusion room for patients with serious illnesses, as well as space for onsite MRI equipment. In addition, the expansion also included the addition of a pre-admit suite, a chapel, floor storage, and an additional 46 parking spaces.

Owned and operated by Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, the renovation and addition to the 48-bed hospital was completed by General Contractor Vannoy Construction. Through all phases of the project, Draper & Associates provided Vannoy Construction with both construction schedule development and construction monitoring services. Completed in April 2019, this project was constructed on schedule and within budget.
